Japanese Sweets, Bread & Snacks In Azabu Juban ft. Life Where I'm From | Tokyo Japan Travel Guide - Video during: 00:07:26
Azabujuban in Tokyo has many local street shops that sell Japanese sweets, Japanese bread and Japanese snacks :)
A lot of these local shops that sell Japanese sweets have been running for over 100 years and are popular with the locals due to their originality.
A cool fact about Azabujuban is that the anime, Sailor moon was mostly based off this area as the writer lived in the Azabujuban area :D
There are a lot of places in Tokyo to get Japanese sweets, bread and snacks but I find areas like the Azabujuban area much more fascinating because of the history of the long running shops.
When you talk to the shop owners, you can tell they don't purely do the business just for the money. Rather, it's the deep meaning behind the shops history and the relationship they have with the local community.
I had a fun time trying all sorts of Japanese sweets and exploring the area with my lovely friends from the "Life Where I'm From" channel - See more of Greg, Aiko and Shin here :D
Shops visited in order:
Naniwaya Taiyaki 浪花屋たいやき 麻布十番
Tsukishimaya Azabujuban Imagawayaki 月島家 今川焼 麻布十番
Mont Thabor Azajuban モンタボー麻布十番本店
Mamegen nuts and Beans 豆源本店
